The final event of the Reunion was a brunch held at the Paramount Hotel overlooking Biven's Arm. The location was beautiful and the mood of all was buoyant and ready for the next Reunion.
Our chairman, Bill Harlan, was recognized for his birthday with his family present. He was rewarded with a chocolate sheet cake, the way to his heart!
A report on the memorial service will be posted soon as will more pictures of events. If you have photos send them in via e-mail.

General Information and Schedule of Events
40th CLASS REUNION: June 20-22, 2008
The schedule for this past reunion has been posted on the Yahoo group/forum (see link with other links) for safe keeping.
We are discussing how long to maintain the blog and we are leaning towards doing so ad infinitum. The Yahoo group/forum will keep on keeping on so sign up and send in your thoughts, etc.
Also note that our reunion e-mail address is and will remain ghs68reunion@aol.com.
HOW TO ENJOY PRE-REUNION PHOTOS OF YOUR CLASSMATES (HELP FOR THE COMPUTER-CHALLENGED)! Go to the SLIDE SHOW at the top of the blog page to watch the photos. To control the slide show, place your cursor over the slide and use the pause, forward, and backward arrows that will appear. Double click the slide and you will be directed to the Picasa photo site. There you can see a larger version of the photo you clicked. Click VIEW ALBUM to enter the web album of all the pre-reunion photos we have placed in the blog. At that point, you may order any copies of the photos you would like to or watch, send photos to friends, or watch a full screen version of the slide show. Have fun.
When sending in electronic images, please identify who is in the picture and who is sending it. Many of us look exactly like we did in our youth, some of us do not so identification helps the blog maester. Some photo programs allow you to label or caption each shot to identify the people pictured. If you can do this before sending it in, it will save us time at this end.

Jimmy and Bill and the whole organizing committee: thanks for including me in a great event. This is a spiritually uplifting experience--the sense of community, the people, and perhaps the highlight, the stories. I learned who had been neighbors all the way back to their elementary days (Robbie, Linda, and Lisa) what Irag was really like (from three time Purple Heart Gary Stanley), who had been a Playboy Bunny of the Year (Linda Mathis, 1972, wearing the necklace around her neck that proved it), and what I said on the day Martin Luther King died (from Katie Hubener), "The white man just lost his best friend." Jackie Feldman Kenser and I even called our buddy, Donn Pearce, author of Cool Hand Luke, and talked to him for the first time in thirty-five years (there's quite a story there too, which I won't go into here, but suffice it to say, Jackie ought to write it down). I hope I'm around for the next reunion; it is an event I am definitely looking forward to. Once again, I'm so honored to be a part of the class of '68, the best class ever. P.S. Frank Smith told me about the broken leg he played on in the Panama City game. And Eddie Herb said he stills thinks of himself as Herb Eddie, the name I always called him by. Love and hugs to you all, and may God bless those of us who are here and those who have passed to be with him. Ward Scott
